The popular city of Frisco lies in the northeastern region of the state and a mere 25 miles away from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The sizable community encompasses 62.4 square miles and currently has a reported population of 129,574. CNN declared that Frisco was one of the “best places to live” in 2011. The community features 32 elementary schools, 13 middle schools and six high schools. Seven campuses provide continuing and adult education to students. Residents find a number of professional and recreational sports facilities within the community, which includes the 18,000 square foot athletic center, the Dr. Pepper Ballpark and the Pizza Hut Park. Frisco also has 43 public parks covering 1,369 acres. Entertainment includes an expansive entertainment center, water park and museums along with a number of outdoor and indoor art exhibits.
